清朝道光年間(約170年左右)結，頭份庄有一李姓大戶人家，在庭院開鑿了一口水井，井口寬約60公分，該井便成了附近居民生活的重要場所之一，是該社區早晨、傍晚散步的必經之地。
但因為時代環境變遷，古井的功能已被自來水取代，而目前井水依然清澈;社區發展協會於101年邀請居民:陳郭枝梅、鍾月娥、李陳月娥，共同參與社區規劃師課程。並用李家百年古井風華再現計畫，讓居民重新回到古井邊，使用古井、關懷古井，從古井重建環境中找回人與人的關心，成為生活共同圈。
Among 170 years ago, there was a famous Lee family lived in Jie Tou Fen village. This big family dug a well, finally, it became locals’ vital interpersonal communication place.
With the changing of the environment, the well`s function was replaced. Community Development Association invited locals to participate community plan course. Using the revising plan to let local residents understand the well`s meaning again. Hoping by the rebuilding of the well to make this environment become the living circle.
