結頭份村的大樹公，在宜蘭縣平地鄉鎮的老樹中，樹齡最長，同時也是最具文化特質的一棵樹，據說當時大樹公的支看鋪上木板可當床。在漢人剛到結頭份開墾時，為了觀察原住民有無採取攻擊的動態，便在樹上掛起銅鑼，架設瞭望台，大樹公便擔任守護者重責大任。
The tree in Jie Tou Fen Community is not only the oldest tree in Ilan County, but is also worth of its history and culture. It is said that there was a gong on the top of the tree. Once the aboriginals attacked the village, ancestors would climb on the tree and warned every one.

Japanese soldiers would pushed the airplanes from North Airport to the tree and hid them in the bamboo forests and under the tree. In 1987, a strong typhoon, Alex, broke the old tree into half. Now, we can only listen to the old talking and imagine the majestic the old tree.
