福源國小                    

    民國43年設立龜山國小兔坑分班，50年奉准獨立為兔坑國校，62年奉准更改為福源國民小學。

     配合社區環境及家長社經背景，發展陶藝教學特色著稱。近年更在資訊融入教學、環境保護教育、教學創新、教案教具設計、科展、原住民歌謠比賽等方面頻頻得獎，其中以關懷兔坑溪之水質監測參加科展榮獲95及96年全縣第三名。凸顯本校辦學卓著、教師專業敬業，是學生優質的學習環境。

    （1）日月福源：位於噴水池邊的鋼塑藝品，福者指生活快樂身體健康事物遭逢圓融美好之謂。福源者正是福之源頭活水也。採「日月福源」之旨意：表示與日月之同在－福之源也。

    （2）九重葛花廊：從福源樓至活動中心的階梯上方，有樹齡約五十年的九重葛。樹圍長約100公分，花期從2月至11月，盛開時花團錦簇是福源最漂亮的花廊。

    （3）蝴蝶生態園區：在黃陳鑫老師利用落葉和廚餘滋養土壤，種植各式香草和蜜源植物，而逐漸形成。春夏時期群蝶翩翩飛舞，是師生賞蝶與學生下課自然觀察的好去處。學校網站建置有福源蝴蝶紀錄部落格，圖文對照能更認識蝴蝶的面貌。

   Fu-yuan Elementary School

This school is famous for its pottery teaching, information system education. There are three scenic spots as follows：

(1)   Sun Moon Fu-yuan

a steel sculpture beside the fountain pond . It symbolizes good fortune and prosperity everlasting as the sun and the moon.

(2)   Bougainvillea Corridor：This beautiful bougainvillea is about 50 years old. The circumference of the stalk is about 100cms.When it blooms from February through November, we can enjoy the most delightful flower corridor in this area.

(3)   Butterfly Ecological Garden：By use of fallen leaves and waste food, the soil is well .fertilized. And various kinds of fragrant plants are cultivated to attract butterflies. During the spring and summer time, the students as well as the teachers can enjoy observing various kinds of plants and insect in this ecological garden.
